Leann you are the best! I want to Thank You for excellent customer service. I was a bit apprehensive about ordering doors on-line and the process was perfect. When I had questions, Leann answered them either with a phone call or email in a very timely manner. I helped my husband install both a 8x8 and 16x8 door and the instructions from Clopay were excellent - they even included a video which we watched and paused as we proceeded step by step. I have already recommended Steel Door Depot to two neighbors because of our positive experience. I was excited when my door arrived acouple days early, and couldn't wait to install it. Everything went well, untill I rolled the door down, into the track. The door was installed on the drum backwards for my instalation. after several hours, I was able to reverse the door, but alas, the track build didn't alow for the exterior installation of the curtain stops. I also dont understand why there is no encover, for the motor, as I have seen offered on other sites, and why there is no weather seal offered. ( which is offered on other sites, as well). I am also going to have to "find" the 'white' pading to put on the drum to keep it from scratching the first round on the drum. Otherwise, I love the door!

It was of high quality, easy to install, it took about 10 minutes to completely install, once familar with door I could have done it in about 5 minutes. Will buy again when needed and recommend to everyone. Beautiful door. Thanks

I like the function of the door and it looks good installed, but I will say the instructions were marginal and did not cover the lock assembly for the inside bottom lock choice. Also, the door was missing one of the holes drilled in it and the rails that came did not have any slots cut into it for the bottom lock choice ( it did however have the slot cut in it for the usual lock so one of two things, either there are two different rails and I got the wrong parts, or the fabrication team missed cutting the required slot for the bottom lock to function). It appears to me that the fabrication was rushed. The box of hardware had several extra parts and seemed thrown together. After spending this much money to get the door, I was disappointed that I had to finish the fabrication that the door manufacturer missed. Also, I will be replacing the cheap plastic handle that came with the door. The video showed a metal handle on the janus 650 but it does not come with one. Maybe thats why they put 2 plastic handles in the box, because they know it will likely break, lol.

The application was tough because of the unusual size and the follow the roof track. Shannon was great at helping me select the right product. There were delays because of the size with factory engineering at Clopay but in the end they were able to deliver an excellant product. The only surprise was I was not aware I was getting an over the door spring. That was not a problem for me but it would be advisable to provide that detail on the quote. This is actually a better (if not only) option for a follow the roof track.

Quality is excellent except for the plastic exterior handle. Also no way to open the roll-up door from the inside.
The instructions were pretty useless, there was no rough framing dimensions given for the door.
I installed the framing on the door assy while it was on the floor, stood it up, braced it so it would not fall in or out. Finished the framing to tie in with the rest of the wall framing.

The firs door I received did not fit in the opening into which it was to be installed. Shannon and Leeann expedited another door and had it to me within 3 work days. I was able to install the door in an hour the day before I was to leave town. These gals saved my vacation! Nothing less than outstanding customer service. Thank you. By the way, the door is awesome too. It opens and closes with no effort, locks easily, and looks fantastic in cedar red. We're pleased with our purchase.

I was impressed to say the least. The door works fine and installed with minimum effort. I purchased the Janus 3100 12*4 26 gauge door. Below are a couple of tips on the install process
Use 3 guys to install.. Rent a deck lift or platform jack. Once the door is un-rolled do not loosen any of the hardware securing the spool without rewinding the door.

found your website while looking on Ebay for a standard garage door. BUT I SAW YOU HAD ROLL-UP DOORS. I needed a smaller back door 4' wide and could not find any at a fair price. Your Janus 650 did the job. Went in fast, easy, and rolls up and down with one finger!
